One NorthEast – what can wood heat save you?
Despite being the most economically viable and environmentally friendly source of heat, wood chip lacks the media exposure of other renewable energies such as wind and solar. As part of an initiative funded by One NorthEast we developed an innovative multimedia campaign to persuade businesses within the region to consider wood heat as an alternative to fossil fuels. A ‘Heated Debate’ set in the heart of Derwent Valley’s Chopwell Woods put wood heat on the news agenda. Experts from the world of conservation, business and rural enterprise took part in a dynamic discussion on the economic and environmental issues around wood heat. Widespread media coverage worked as part of an integrated campaign spanning digital media, advertising and direct mail all asking the question; what can wood heat save you?
